With your dog on the beach

There are five supervised areas on the beach in De Haan-Wenduine. From 1 June to 15 September, dogs are not allowed between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., nor are they allowed in the dunes or in the sea. Only in the Vosseslag and Harendijke bathing areas (due to only one access point) are you allowed to walk with your dog on a short leash to reach the bathing area where dogs are allowed. The beach at De Haan-Wenduine has more unguarded than guarded areas, so you are sure to find an (unguarded) spot where dogs and their owners feel at home. In these areas, four-legged friends do not need to be kept on a leash.

Dog owners must have a dog waste bag with them, which can be disposed of in the street bins or in the dog waste bins.

A maximum of two large dogs or four small dogs are allowed in our cottages. You can always request permission for an extra dog without obligation.
